MISSION - VISION -STRATEGY

WHAT WE ARE ABOUT.

At Renovation, we believe church is more than a place you attend but it is a family you belong to. God desires a relationship with every person, and through Jesus Christ He made a way, rescuing us, bringing us into His family, and calling us into something greater than ourselves. We are passionate about people finding that life here — knowing God deeply, growing together genuinely, and living in a way that actually matters.

Vision

A family transformed by the love of Christ, fully equipped in Him, leveraging every part of our lives for the advancement of God's kingdom.

Mission

To Know God and Make God Known.

Strategy

To move people forward in their faith by Reaching those who are far from God. Equipping believers to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, and Sending disciples into the world to make disciples.

THE DNA OF RENOVATION CHURCH

"The 10 Marks of Our Family"

Our DNA is the culture and character of who we are becoming together. These are the spiritual marks we believe should define our church family.

A FAMILY TRANSFORMED BY THE LOVE OF CHRIST

These marks shape who we are as a people.

  • We believe generosity reflects the heart of God. God has generously given us grace, mercy, salvation, provision, gifts, time, and resources. In response, we want to live open-handed lives. We believe we are stewards, not owners. Everything we have belongs to God and should be leveraged for His glory. We want to be generous with our time, finances, gifts, hospitality, service, and compassion for others. Generosity is not merely about giving money. It is about surrendering our lives to God’s purposes. We desire to be a generous church because we serve a generous Savior.

    (2 Corinthians 9:6-7; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Acts 20:35)

  • We believe every believer is called to live on mission. Mission is not reserved for pastors, missionaries, or church staff. Every follower of Jesus has been sent into the world to make God known. We want to help people see their homes, workplaces, schools, relationships, and everyday lives as opportunities for gospel impact. The church does not merely have a missions department. The church is a missionary people.

    (2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Matthew 28:19-20)

  • We do not want to merely gather and consume. We want to raise up and send. We believe healthy churches send disciples, leaders, church planters, missionaries, and servant-hearted believers into the world. We want to equip people not just to sit in church, but to live for the kingdom beyond the walls of our church building. Our desire is multiplication. Not bigger crowds alone, but more disciples making disciples for the glory of God.

    (Mark 16:15; Romans 10:13-15)

We also believe biblical shepherding includes lovingly guiding people through the leadership and care of pastors and elders. Scripture teaches that leaders are called to watch over the souls of the church, and believers are called to walk in humility, teachability, trust, and biblical submission as they are shepherded toward Christ.

    (Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5:1-4; John 10:11)

FULLY EQUIPPED IN HIM

These marks shape how we are formed into mature disciples of Jesus.

  • The Word of God is our foundation. We believe Scripture is authoritative, sufficient, living, active, and necessary for spiritual growth. Culture does not define truth. God does. We want to be a people shaped more by Scripture than by culture, politics, trends, emotions, or opinions. The Bible forms how we think, live, lead, parent, serve, worship, and engage the world. We are committed to faithfully teaching, studying, obeying, and applying God’s Word.

    (Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; James 1:22)

  • We believe apart from Jesus we can do nothing. Prayer is not a formality or a last resort. It is dependence upon God. We do not want to build ministry through human strength, charisma, strategy, or talent alone. We want everything we do to flow from intimacy with God and dependence on His power. Prayer aligns our hearts with God, deepens our faith, strengthens the church, and invites the power and presence of God into everything. We want to be marked by desperate dependence upon God.

    (Acts 1:14; Philippians 4:6-7; Luke 5:16; John 15:5)

  • Christianity is not merely behavior modification. It is spiritual transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live holy lives, boldly share the gospel, grow in spiritual maturity, walk in obedience, serve the church, and produce spiritual fruit. We do not want dead religion. We want vibrant, Spirit-empowered lives that reflect the character and power of Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:14; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:16-25)We also believe biblical shepherding includes lovingly guiding people through the leadership and care of pastors and elders. Scripture teaches that leaders are called to watch over the souls of the church, and believers are called to walk in humility, teachability, trust, and biblical submission as they are shepherded toward Christ.

    (Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5:1-4; John 10:11)

  • Disciples grow. We believe spiritual maturity matters deeply. Our goal is not simply attendance but transformation into the likeness of Christ. We want people who move from spiritual infancy into maturity. Believers who are built on Scripture, walk in wisdom, pursue holiness, live with conviction, serve faithfully, and disciple others. Maturity means becoming more like Jesus in every area of life.

    (Colossians 1:28; Colossians 2:6; Ephesians 4:11-16; 2 Peter 3:18)

LEVERAGING OUR LIVES FOR GOD’S KINGDOM

These marks shape how we live on mission and purpose in the world.

  • The gospel is not merely the doorway into Christianity. It is the foundation of the entire Christian life. We believe everything begins with the finished work of Jesus Christ. His life, death, resurrection, grace, mercy, and lordship shape everything we do. We do not build on performance, legalism, self-righteousness, or religious striving. We build on the gospel. The gospel saves us, sustains us, humbles us, transforms us, and sends us. We want every sermon, ministry, relationship, and conversation to continually point people back to Jesus.

    (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 15:1-8)

  • We believe the Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. God is forming a family, not just individuals attending services. We want to be a church where people are known, loved, challenged, encouraged, prayed for, and cared for. A church where authentic relationships flourish, burdens are carried together, and life is genuinely shared together through both joy and hardship. We want to reflect the unity Jesus purchased through His blood.

    (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; Romans 12:4-5; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:25)

  • People are not projects. They are souls. We believe the church should lovingly shepherd people toward Jesus with truth, grace, patience, care, accountability, and compassion. Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and we want to reflect His heart. We desire to be a church that walks with people through suffering, discipleship, repentance, healing, growth, restoration, and spiritual formation. We are not called merely to gather people. We are called to care for them.

Renovation’s Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join in the Kingdom mission to ‘Know God and make Him known’.

  • We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. It was written by men through inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Although people throughout history have tried to disprove it, it is evident that God’s Word has prevailed and does not contradict itself.

  • God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.  He has eternally existed as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  The three are coequal and are one God.

  • He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit.  Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross.  He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.  He ascended to Heaven and will return someday to earth to reign as King.

  • The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God.  He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ.  He provides Christians with power for living, understanding spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.  He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved.  As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

  • Jesus Christ was conceived by God the Father through the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary's womb; therefore He is the Son of God.

  • Salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it.  We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works.  Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty.  When we turn away from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved.  Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into their life by faith.

  • Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.  Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ.  It is also a step of obedience based on God's commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted Himself to baptism.

  • A unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and juice (the Body and blood of Jesus) are taken in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.

  • Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross.  In addition, both the saved and the lost will be resurrected; they that are saved to the resurrection of life and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal punishment.

  • People will exist eternally with or without God.  People were created to exist forever, and we will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation.  To be eternally separated from God is hell.  To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven.  Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

  • Man was created good and upright, but by voluntary transgression he fell; his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

  • Repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ, which allows us to receive His redemption and to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit.  Thus, through repentance we receive forgiveness of sins and appropriate salvation.

  • The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus' Great Commission.  Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers.  There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom.  This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures.
